새해 복 많이 받으세요

New Year (설날) celebrations at Namsangol Hanok Village (남산골 한옥마을), Seoul.

A tightrope walker entertains the crowd.

Kite-flying is a traditional New Year activity.

Visitors have a chance to participate in various traditional games.

People write their New Year wishes on colourful paper and tie them on the rope.

In this lively dance, the men leap around and the ribbons on their hats twirl as they beat drums.

The smell of roast chestnuts fills the cold, crisp air.

It was a freezing cold day! Girls in hanbok had to hide their beautiful dresses under puffy jackets and scarves.

Happy year of the black dragon, everyone! 새해 복 많이 받으세요
